Happy Songkran Festival 2026 It's been a long time since my last update because we (littleseal and I) recently had some house renovations done. We repainted the ceiling and walls in the entire workspace area, which meant we had to move everything out, leaving us with nowhere to work. The painting itself didn't take that long. The real time-consumer was packing up our things, mostly because the majority of them are books. They are incredibly heavy and take up a lot of room, so while the painting was still ongoing, there was barely any space to walk. Happy Songkran!   Happy New Year 2026! We wish you health, happiness, prosperity, and to living life to the fullest in 2026 and every year after that! Since this is the Year of the Horse, famous horses like Pegasus, Unicorns, or Red Hare from the Three Kingdoms usually come to mind. However, using those for a New Year’s card felt a bit too ordinary, so this year I chose to draw a 'Durong Paksin' - a creature from the Himmapan Forest that resembles a Pegasus. I dressed her in a traditional Kor Krachao shirt and Chong Kraben (Thai traditional lower-body garment), riding Ma Kan Kluay (a banana rib horse ) to give her a Thai theme,  As for the text "มั่งมี ศรีสุข" (Wealth & Happiness) on the victory flag, I initially planned to use a computer font. But since 'Happy New Year' is already typed, I decided to handwrite the Thai text instead. Historically speaking, this was actually the first Thai GL (Yuri) manga to be published in a nationwide magazine. It was also the first Thai comic to feature on the cover of C-Kids (a weekly magazine licensed by Shonen Jump), even if it was just in a small corner. Back in 1998, when the first chapter of Diabolique was published, prejudice against the LGBT community was widespread in society, including among Thai cartoonists. No one was writing GL back then. In fact, simply writing an action comic with a female protagonist was enough to trigger criticism. Because of this, I faced harsh criticism from within the industry when the story was published. One of my goals before the new year is to learn how to create L2D (I've had all year but I only started seriously learning at the beginning of this month. How pathetic. -..-"). The material I'm using as a learning model is 'Reid', a character from my latest series. Luckily, when I was writing it I used to create character art with separated parts in case littleseal wanted to change poses and angles so I didn't have to start all over this time (imo, the most complicated step is file preparation. Even though I had the parts separated already, when I opened them in L2D I kept forgetting things and had to go back and fix them in Photoshop so many times). This is a random animation file recorded from the program. After looking at it, there are many points that need to be fixed but it's been a good learning experience. Just got my physical reward from Reverse: 1999 patch 1.2 fanart contest and it's even better than I expected (not gonna lie, awesome merch was the biggest motivator for me to partake lol). They sent two items: a standee of "Shamane" (6 star character of patch 1.3) and a liquid glitter frame featuring the stargazing scene from patch 1.3. Moving glitter in the sky really makes it look like a shimmering ocean of stars, so beautiful.   Last year, my wife and I grew chili peppers from seeds. Our condo manager was kind enough to give us some space in the condo's garden to grow them. Even though we faced problems with chili disease and insects, the plants finally bore fruit, making us (and the condo officials who cheered us on) happy. Since today is Earth Day, I wanted to share this story with you all to encourage you to grow plants! If my wife, who jokingly calls herself the 'arch enemy of all plants,' could grow chili peppers and make them bear fruit, then you guys can do it too!
