I just finished the R1999 patch 1.7 main story and its first 6-star character's anecdote. The writing is exceptional. It's clear why CN players praised this patch so much. The plot flows seamlessly from beginning to end without any dull moments. All four main characters are complex and well-developed, but Isolde and Hoffman stand out as favorites.

The patch is set in Vienna, 1914, a time of cultural and artistic peak just before World War I. Isolde, a noble opera singer, is one of the main characters whose mental illness has a significant plot point. The screenwriters handled her character and illness deftly, avoiding both underplaying and overdramatizing the condition.

ผู้เขียนเพิ่งเล่นเนื้อเรื่องหลักกับเนื้อเรื่องของตัวละคร 6 ดาวแพทช์ 1.7 เกม R1999 จบ การเขียนบทของแพทช์นี้ดีมากจนไม่แปลกใจว่าทำไมผู้เล่นจีนถึงชื่นชมกันอย่างล้นหลาม การดำเนินเรื่องลื่นไหลตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบไม่มีช่วงที่น่าเบื่อ ตัวละครหลักทั้ง 4 ของเนื้อเรื่องช่วงนี้มีมิติและมีพัฒนาการตามเนื้อเรื่อง โดยเฉพาะตัว Isolde กับ Hoffman ที่ผู้เขียนชอบมากเป็นพิเศษ

ฉากหลังของแพทช์นี้คือเวียนนา 1914 ยุคที่ศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมวิวัฒนาการถึงจุดสูงสุดก่อนที่จะถูกทำลายลงด้วยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 1 Isolde นักร้องโอเปร่าจากตระกูลสูงศักดิ์คือหนึ่งในตัวละครหลักของแพทช์นี้ที่อาการจิตเวทของเธอมีส่วนสำคัญในเนื้อเรื่อง ทีมเขียนบทเขียนตัวละครตัวนี้และแสดงอาการป่วยของเธอออกมาได้ดี ไม่น้อยเกินไปจนดูไม่ออกและไม่มากไปจนดูเว่อร์

เปลี่ยนแบตเอง

 

My phone’s battery was swollen so I ordered a replacement and installed it myself. Why didn’t I contact customer service or go to a repair shop? Sending it to customer service would take too long and I’ve had bad experiences with repair shops overcharging women. That’s why I prefer to fix things myself whenever I can (I also take it as one of my hobbies lol).

If it wasn't THIS swells I wouldn't bothered to replace it - -" Actually, this condition could escalate dangerously. If your battery is swollen, please replace it immediately.

P.S. The hardest part for me when changing the phone's battery was removing the back cover. The adhesive they used was really strong, making it difficult to pry open without damaging it.

มือถือแบตบวมเลยสั่งแบตมาเปลี่ยนเอง ทำไมไม่ส่งเข้าศูนย์หรือไปที่ร้านซ่อมให้ช่างเปลี่ยน? คำตอบคือส่งศูนย์ก็ต้องรอนานมากและไม่อยากรีเซตเครื่องก่อนส่งเข้าศูนย์ ไปหาร้านข้างนอกผู้เขียนก็มักโชคร้ายเจอช่างไม่ดีที่พอเห็นเป็นผู้หญิงก็คิดว่าจะโขกราคาเท่าไรก็ได้และบางทีก็เก็บงานไม่เนี้ยบเอากลับมามีปัญหาเล็กๆ น้อยๆ อีก แต่ก่อนหากไม่อยากเสียเวลาหาช่างใหม่ตอนรีบๆ ก็จำใจต้องจ่าย เป็นแบบนี้หลายครั้งเข้าอะไรที่ซ่อมเองได้เลยซ่อมเอง จบ (ผู้เขียนถือว่าการซ่อมของเป็นหนึ่งในงานอดิเรกเช่นกัน ฮา...)

ถ้าไม่บวมจนฝาหลังปริขนาดนี้ก็กะใช้ไปเรื่อยๆ น่ะผู้เขียนโคตรขี้เกียจ - -" ที่จริงมันอันตรายนะเปลี่ยนได้รีบเปลี่ยนเถอะอย่ารอจนบวมขนาดนี้ 

ปล. ส่วนที่ยากที่สุดสำหรับผู้เขียนคือการถอดฝาหลังเพราะกาวเหนียวมากต้องระวังไม่ให้ออกแรงมากไปจนกระทบชิ้นส่วนอื่นๆ (แต่โชคดีในโชคร้ายที่ครั้งนี้แบตฯ บวมจนดันฝาหลังออกเกือบครึ่งเลยทุ่นแรงไปได้เยอะ ฮา...)

Semmelweis and her 'Earworm' (yes, I'm also a simp for Semmelweis).

Last month, I didn't mention R1999 due to being a bit busy, and Patch 1.6 didn't quite live up to my expectations. I attempted to read the main story several times but boredom got the better of me and I eventually skipped it altogether. Here's hoping Patch 1.7 improves the writing (positive reception on the CN server has me excited!).

One saving grace of Patch 1.6 for me was the Roguelike mode, "Echoes in the Mountain." While many players complained about the time consuming and underwhelming rewards, I found it more entertaining than the main story (lol).

On that note, here's a three-panel comic for the end of Patch 1.6. I absolutely adore Semmelweis, the Roguelike mode's protagonist both visually and personality wise (she appealed to me more than the 6 star characters in the patch.). With Patch 1.6 wrapping up soon, I couldn't resist drawing her and I truly hope to see more of her in future updates.

เดือนที่แล้วที่ไม่ค่อยพูดถึงเกม R1999 เลยเพราะไม่ค่อยว่างบวกกับแพทช์ 1.6 เนื้อหาไม่ค่อยน่าสนใจสำหรับผู้เขียน ขนาดที่ผู้เขียนพยายามนั่งอ่านเนื้อเรื่องหลักของแพทช์นี้หลายครั้งแต่ก็รู้สึกเบื่อแล้วเลิกกลางคันจนในที่สุดก็กดข้ามหมด หวังว่าเนื้อเรื่องหลักของแพทช์ 1.7 ที่จะมาในวัน 2 วันนี้จะปรับปรุงการเขียนบทให้ดีขึ้น (แต่ได้ยินว่าเสียงตอบรับของแพทช์หน้าในเซิร์ฟจีนค่อนข้างดีงั้นคงไม่มีปัญหาต้องกดข้ามเนื้อเรื่องกันอีกแล้ว)

แต่สิ่งหนึ่งในแพทช์ 1.6 ที่ผู้เขียนชอบมากกว่าที่คิดคือโหมด Roguelike 'Echoes in the Mountain' (โหมดฟอร์มทีมตะลุยดันเจี้ยนแบบสุ่ม) แม้จะมีผู้เล่นไม่น้อยบ่นว่าโหมดนี้กินเวลามากไปและรางวัลที่ได้ไม่คุ้มเล่นแต่ผู้เขียนยังรู้สึกสนุกกับมันมากกว่าการนั่งอ่านเนื้อเรื่องหลักของแพทช์ 1.6 อยู่ดี (ฮา...)

ฉะนั้น...นี่คือการ์ตูนมุก 3 ช่องจบปิดท้ายแพทช์ 1.6 ผู้เขียนชอบ 'Semmelweis' ตัวเอกของโหมด Echoes มากทั้งด้านการดีไซน์รูปร่างหน้าตาและบุคลิก (ส่วนตัวรู้สึกสนใจตัวละครตัวนี้มากกว่าตัว 6 ดาวประจำแพทช์อีก) ก่อนแพทช์ 1.6 จะหมดเวลาเลยถือโอกาสวาด Semmelweis ส่งท้ายสักหน่อย หวังว่าแพทช์หน้าจะได้เจอกันอีกนะหนู Semmelweis!

This short story served a dual purpose: a creative outlet and a testing ground for Tapas' webcomic system. After completing it, we realized we needed to adjust our workflow. The file sizes generated by our previous approach were too large, and the process itself was inefficient.

It seems creating high-resolution manuscripts for publishing might be less relevant these days, at least in our market.

ถือโอกาสใช้การประกวดเป็นเดดไลน์แล้วทดลองทำทั้งเว็บคอมิคสีและทดลองระบบเว็บ Tapas หลังจากทำเสร็จได้ข้อสรุปว่าต้องปรับแผนงานใหม่เพราะไฟล์ที่สร้างโดยวิธีทำงานแบบเก่ามีขนาดใหญ่เกินไปและตัวกระบวนการเองก็ไม่มีประสิทธิภาพ

ดูเหมือนการสร้างต้นฉบับความละเอียดสูงสำหรับการตีพิมพ์จะมีความจำน้อยลงเรื่อยๆ ในปัจจุบัน (อย่างน้อยก็ในตลาดบ้านเรา)
